Lost Him-
What do you do when you're young and dumb
And you got what you wanted and then some?
If you're me, you'll do what noone would
Before the day ends, you lose it for good.
We went home after the Easter lunch,
Decided to party that night with the bunch.
All I had to do is be ready by the time he came,
And no, this time it wasn't a game.
So what did I do with all this joy?
What a child would do with a new toy?
I wish that was the case, but truth is really sad.
I did something that made it all end.
He walked me home, hand in hand,
And as soon as he left, I hurried and got a cab.
I promised my grandma earlier that day,
That I'll spend the weekend and we could play.
He got angry and rightfully so,
He asked my mom to let me go.
She said yes, but I wasn't there,
He couldn't believe I would dare.
It took me days to finally find out,
What happened after I missed that night out.
He said I was a child and I lied,
Nothing I could say would make it right.
