Lost Conversations
A mouth that's muzzled
by chains of childhood fears
prevents the expressions
from escaping troubled lips.
Words beg to be born
into the sky of conversation,
but sentences die before living,
leaving a soul trapped in silence.
A voice that's afraid to speak
remains left in yesterday's dust.
While conversations are lost
when the mind succumbs to fright.
