lost another one
Sunflower faerie exited the field, heading toward a new meadow
Hundreds of sunflower heads turned and watched her go
Lost another one, two of them said sadly.
They could not keep a faerie after she turned thirteen.
The age when faeries and girls turn into ogres and gargoyles.
