Lost and Found
The path I knew has faded far,
A stranger now am I,
Beneath a cold and distant star,
I watch the moments fly.
A whispered name, carried on a wind that remembers more than I do.
The familiar scent of rain, now a forgotten melody in a silent song.
Fragments of laughter, once so clear,
now just echoes in an empty room.
Where gentle whispers used to call,
A silence deep now lies,
Beyond the reach of memory's thrall,
Beneath indifferent skies.
The map crumbled to dust in my trembling hand.
Each landmark, a ghost of what it was.
I trace the lines of a life unlived, a story untold,
feeling the vast, cold space where belonging used to be.
Yet in this void, a flicker gleams,
A hope I can't deny,
Through fading light and broken dreams,
A new way I might try.
