Notes About The Poem

Losing My Voice

I attempt to sing a song hubby covers his ears says I sound like a cat in pain so I’ll never attempt karaoke though I was once head chorister in a choir! Ring My Bell Poetry Contest Sponsored by John Anderson 06/30/21

Fuuny you should say that, my hubby also tells me the same Jan but i ignore it, especially when we are going on holiday and are in the car for 6 or 7 hours (distances are major in SA) and I hear golden oldies, nothing stops me, i have almost lost my voice on more than one occasion by the time we arrive at our destination. Good luck in the contest. Blessings, Jennifer..

Jan, of course I love the image of the cats singing, and I really like your poem too, I cannot sing either, my Snuggles Kitty sings to me but she has a sweet little voice and she talks too, a real chatter box, a FAV ~ love and serenity _Constance

Your hubby must be reading Wayne? My late wife had a wonderful voice, but always sang softly to herself because her father was an exceptional tenor who always made fun of her singing . . . . .

I say, sing as the heart and soul rejoices. Any except me, as I sound like a frog in a bucket when I try to sing. For me - a cat in pain sound would be an improvement.. Go for it if the mood strikes ya.. Fine poem, good luck in the contest.. God bless...

I sing all the time... I’m sure I sound like a lion with a nail in its foot, but hey, the neighbours don’t have to listen. So, sing on Jan... it’s a great way to check the rhythm of a poem (but not foolproof). Good luck in contest. Terry
