In my life, I have discovered the Lord,
My tranquility is in vividness abhorred.
As a result of fostering animosity,
I'll admit that I feel trapped by my verbosity.
Lord, please assist me. I kneel and pray,
to ask your pardon for all my sins today.
My current discomfort helps me let go,
The inner bliss of pure liberty got to know.
Peace comes when you hear me whine,
my inward flow of calmness is divine.
Out in the night, I can see you shine, shine,
I must decide who is suitable and fine.
This lesson took me a long time to know,
by choosing to forgive, I saw joy flow.
Because of you, I don't feel out of place,
You serve as my guide and my path to grace.
In my heart, bitter hatred arose,
suffering that life brought, and foes.
I heard the Lord saying while in distress,
If you forgive, on your life’s path I will bless.
A huge spiritual struggle was raging,
For intense revenge was the longing.
Yet, I kept hearing the Lord's voice,
Inspiring me to select mercy as my choice.
I will no longer dwell on my suffering,
Follow the rainbow in love amid the rain falling.
My spirit is overflowing with serenity,
Giving me a sense of relief and stability.
I'm alas free of the poison of bitterness,
by picking to forgive, you select real success.
I've made it my goal to better forgive,
the rich benefit of God's being here to give.
