Lord God, You Are My Doctrine Teacher

Key Verse – Mark 4:1-2 And he (Jesus) began again to teach by the sea side: and there was gathered unto him a great multitude, so that he entered into a ship, and sat in the sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land. And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine.
LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY DOCTRINE TEACHER
Lord God, You are my doctrine Teacher,
as I root down in Your grace-fruitfulness
Thank You for letting me hearken to Your truth’s fullness
Along Your life-changing Word that seeks my faithfulness
For my spiritual growth midst hindrances of deceitfulness.
Lord God, You are my doctrine Teacher,
as I sow Gospel seed with Your guiding vision
Thank You for letting me take heed of Your kingdom’s mission
Along Your caring compassion upholding my selfless decision
For my faith to stand by Your unwavering persuasion.
Lord God, You are my doctrine Teacher,
as I break free from fetters and chains of discouragement
Thank You for letting me dwell in Your perfect will’s settlement
Along Your satisfying peace despite vanity’s torment
For my departure from slothfulness and futility’s entrapment.
Lord God, You are my doctrine Teacher,
as I press on to continue though at times I’m weary
Thank You for letting me beseech Your assured victory
Along Your divine healing to cure my sin-plagued misery
For my revival while arising to walk upon Your righteousness’ territory.
Lord God, You are my doctrine Teacher,
as I gain wisdom from Your Scriptural lesson
Thank You for letting me learn discipleship essence of life-building reason
Along Your integrity and honour that magnify Your Person
For my testimony to shine through Your mighty works in every season.
Lord God, You are my doctrine Teacher,
as I observe Your wonders of miraculous ways
Thank You for letting me follow You by Your precepts’ guiding rays
Along Your Biblical instruction exhorting me to maximize stewardship days
For my character to develop through Your virtues against iniquity’s maze.
Lord God, You are my doctrine Teacher,
as I enjoy Your comfort of goodness crest
Thank You for letting me obey You with prayer and supplication-zest
Along Your abounding provisions supplying me midst crises’ test
For my service I dedicate to You with earnest best.
