Lord, Thank you for making good on your promise You have done what you said to me thousands of years ago You have given me life, a heart that beats These people that are called parents...they are truly wonderful But lord, who is that funny looking person, holding me...smiling Wow, he has no teeth...like me! Why are his hands all wrinkled, and why is he shaking? I am scared, lord...Uh oh, I think I just pooped in my diaper Why is he making that funny face, lord? Why did he put his lips on my cheeks, lord? Why did he say...I love you, grandson? (Photo E) Baby Face What's You THINKIN Poetry Contest Sponsor: James Edward Lee Sr. 1-20-2019

Oh, just look at how well your words compliment the photo, Charlie. Perhaps there are many babies who don't understand their grandparents' appearance or loving treatment of them. I also wanted to thank you for sharing your comment on Silent One's poem about the three children your friends lost in the past year. It is such a tragedy, but as parents become more aware of the resurgence in this dangerous drug, perhaps they will be better able to prevent such deaths. Winning wishes for you, CD
