Loose Tooth
My grandson has his first loose tooth
And he is so excited
As I am, if you want the truth,
For we are both united
In knowing it’s a real big deal;
It means he is maturing.
Such milestones do have great appeal
And so, are reassuring.
Of course, he wants the fairy’s cash
And, like friends, recognition.
For me, though, there’s a little flash
Of nana intuition.
He’s growing up so fast and soon,
His teeth one way to show it,
He’ll soar in life up to the moon
And in my heart, I’ll know it.
