Looking Within and Seeing Out
Shadows are indeed peculiar things
they look at you from many an angle
looking at them seeming so false
sometimes everything looks real tangle
Deep inside there seems you're there
but differences from one self is sure
unrecognisable in many facets looking
is this me? can't be someone newer
It is me for my shadow looms
looks so similar with my inner core
only I can know real differences
but as road concludes will open door
In the shadow of self filled with fear
one is so reluctant to go own way
but in real substance confidence sure
sometimes feel tossed by night and day
Looking within and seeing out
describes myself exactly to a tee
which one has the upper edge
confusing to know who's real me!
(Relate this to myself having had stammer all my life , seeing my stammering self as my shadow and my normal self as the person. )
