Looking For Love

Some look for love
in a book
in a colorful card --
in a bar
in a junkyard:

I realized late
in life
that love had
already found me

unlocked the love
inside of me….

Dear Joe, This is deep and so profound and well written on love, and how we are all looking for love in places and faces and things, when love resides within, which we realize much later in life. In few words youv delivered something so touching and moving. Pleasure reading your poem today Hope you are doing well. Sending you light always~

Hi Anne; are those flowers blossoming in your neck of the world? They are starting early in Arizona, my fig tree getting leaves again. Blessings my friend. Allergies...yuck!

HelloJoe, What a beautiful revelation so simple yet introspective. The journey of seeking love in all the wrong places, only to realize it was within all along, is such a powerful insight. It's like a quiet awakening. I love how it speaks to the heart! Spring Blessings, My Friend, Daniel

Thank you, Daniel; every write is a self portrait -- I try to look spiffy, and yet connected to life, despite my age. I see your guitar...sad you are not a neighbor, my full set of drums needing live inspiration.

So very right.... dear Joe. We search for love everywhere, but are late to realize that love stays inside us. Fortunate is the one who finds out this truth. A ditty of a poem conveying so much!

All there from the beginning -- unfortunately, one also matures away from the best parts of one's self, as one gravitates toward those parts that need reworking, I often wonder? No escaping past life Karma.

We too often look far off, instead of at the precious gifts we start with. Thank you, Joe.
