Looking Beyond

Look at those eyes.
What can they see?
Are they both looking at you and me?
Listen to that laugh
So sweet and so dear.
Who told a secret that we cannot hear?
What do you know?
I bet more than I!
Yet, I build rockets that pass the sky.
But you're so little
And barely fit to my hand
With all this knowledge I've yearned to understand.
What's the point of your tiny being?
How can we look on without even seeing?
You are in my thoughts,
Or do you already know?
How far can I look beyond?
How far will you let me go?
