Look Closely

Look closely 
     past my mistakes
          my fears  
               and shortcomings;
                    then you will see me
                         standing there,
                              afraid!
Sometimes fate’s
     veiled by
          a sudden
               fog of doubt;
                    but if you peer deep
                         into my soul, you’ll see
                               that
we were meant to be.
