freedom that's what we seek when somehow our growth is being slow down by things around.. for me, freedom starts when one begins to pursue it...succedding this pursuit is the motivation and strong innate will to breakfree... time does run out when we think of it with the moving hours or days but for one who likes somthing and tries to do all just to achieve it time isn't running out... failure just pushes one to move more.. :)!! ...weeee! hi paul---e! how you?! :D hugs!!!

Like your insightful comments Olive_eloi. Finding freedom depends mostly on ourselves, but we meet lots of obstacles that impede our progress. The important thing is to never give up hope and to persevere in what we aim for. Hugs. // paul

The shy people like myself will surely relate to your poem. I am still hoping to venture out and see the world one day... This poem is short, and yet it has so much to say. Very nicely written, Paul. Good luck in Nette's contest!

Thank you Kelly! You're not the only shy person around here...I used to be the same! I got out of it, but shyness always retained part of its hold on me. Yours is the perfect age to venture further out...I was hoping cupid would have given you a helping hand!:) hugs // paul

Dear Paul, Many of us long to see the world, and wish to be free from the shackles of our own reality, I can relate to this poem so much that you have know idea. My dream is to find a pubisher sell my book, and get a little house by the beach. I am going to try self publishing but I'm not sure if I'm really good enough, and the money is hard to come by for this. Every time I save up enough other things take priority first. but great poem here my friend enjoyed it, cheri

I'm pleased that you enjoyed this short write, Cherl. We all have dreams, but lots of them come to nothing. It does not mean that we should give up! I self published my first 2 books (both in Maltese) and was lucky to find a publisher straight away for this one; went to the publisher today to do some fine-tuning; all that's left is the cover. // Taking my granddaughter to carnival has put back new energy into my aging bones!:) All the best. // paul

Pleased that you like it, Jan. The girl waiting behind the fencing + the watch inspired these thoughts....and I also figured that people might prefer to go for 1st and 3rd visuals///so why not go for 2nd:) Hugs // paul [went to Carnival today...was very sunny and warm.]
