There once was a lonely Christmas elf
who could not do it all by herself.
She said, "I must need a boy",
and sadly put back the toy
she was making to the workshop shelf.
While she strolled with Rudolf one snowy day,
that reindeer who would lead Santa's new sleigh,
they met Frosty the snowman.
The wee elf said, "let's go man -
You are a fellow with whom I can play!"
They had fun until Winter turned to Spring.
and one must make do with what fate does bring,
an idea with merit,
for she then ate the carrot.
She really made the most of that thing.
