Loneliness

She puts on her mask The one that always smiles, Ready to face the world, Hiding all her trials. No one seems to notice The sadness in her eyes, They take her at face value, Don't see through her disguise. She's really very lonely, Lost and empty inside, Devoid of love and comfort, Her troubles multiplied. She thinks she has no one, Nobody to care, If only she knew Gods loves always there.

Elizabeth, I really can identify with this poem. We all wear some forms of masks. Some people wear them when bullied. They use humor to overcome a disability..I know about that...

I thankfully rarely feel lonely. I do watch people and often the ones who appear to be the life and soul are the ones who are putting on the biggest act. So sorry that you have been bullied.....the bullies are another group that hide, they hide behind violence and cruelty. God bless

That does seem like a very sad situation to be in, to feel all alone, like no one cares but you are right my friend. Nicely done Elizabeth.
