Locked Up, Locked Down
Lockdowns in great vogue, wondered aloud
A jail bird on ‘me’ and ‘all this crowd’:
I am in a lock up,
For, spilled I’ve someone’s cup
Of joy, what fault them rest face dark cloud?

Poet’s note: Locked up or locked down, what is the difference? Nothing, if I may, at the core. But if a jail bird is under a lock up, he is being punished for some offence. What about the people at large if locked down on account of a pandemic? One might wonder. Man indeed lives in an unfair world.
