Lockdown
Little did I wonder that I will see a day,
When the world will come to a standstill.
Little did I wonder that world would start looking
Like it does in dystopian movies and novels.
Little did I wonder that the science fictions
Would come so close to reality.
Little did I wonder that there would come a morning,
With deadly silent streets and totally quiet roads.
Little did I wonder that humans will be locked up,
And animals would carelessly stroll the paths.
Little did I wonder that the parks will be void
As children and elders will be prisoners in home.
Little did I wonder that markets and mall could ever close
Let alone become totally soul less.
Little did I wonder we would get some break
Out of our jam packed schedules.
Little did I wonder that the whole family would sit together again,
Relaxing and enjoying a mini vacation at home.
Little did I wonder I would ever get time for my hobby again,
The one that I had left years ago.
Little did I wonder that our mother nature could heal And would be able to breathe again.
Little did I wonder that a microscopic virus
Would scare the human beings to this extent.
Little did I wonder that after this lockdown
Life would never be the same again.
