My best friend, Pamela, died twenty-five years ago.
Yet,.I can still see her dancing , green eyes, all aglow!
I pondered me..as cold as ice, would one day become,
She was fun, like my own sibling, loving and then some!
All of us, will meet the same fate as she!
But some carry their dead ones with them…endlessly?
Write poems about them if you must…to God’s infinity.
But to not love the living, is a sad, lost, morose destiny!
So, no~ our family and friends cannnot ever be replaced .
But, with a Creator they now live, in a holy, golden, place!
Let them go…. don’t you understand, as it was their time?
God took them home, be grateful and please do pen, happy rhymes.
You live on a planet full of living humans, for you to respect with love,
Toss into the trash, your beloved, graying, years old, burial gloves!
Millions do needyour love, laughter and ever so much care,
Have deep faith, get active…..feeling sad is the worst, soul-bear!
On holidays, do not stay home, awash in salty, self-pitying tears!
Instead, go help feed another, homeless human, who may be living in fear.
I have lost so many loved ones in my long, long, gratefully, blessed life.
I turn to my God, refusing mental anguish and years of boring strife!
“ Honor the dead, but celebrate the living!
And dance your heart away, at this wedding!”
