Without hope for the gentler light
That shines across the heart who feels
Abundant grace and inspiration
Joy that fulfills the spirit’s wish
Without the beauty beneath the smile
Encouraging the heart to care
With laughter and joy that does express
All the wonder for the heart to share
Without inspiration that leaves
The spirit with assured peace
And the mind with a wisdom within
Fulfilling the longing to give unconditionally
Without kindness that weaves a web
Of lavender hope and lilac laughter
There is only the feeling of pure dread
That comes from a lack of compassion
Without sympathy or empathy for another
Heart who listens to the whisper of hope
And prays for a way to find encouragement
In a world of disillusion and disappointment
Without benevolence that gently touches
The gentle faith of one who hears the hope
Falling all around like a soft and soothing rain
Erasing all worry and confusion with faith
Without gentle pleasure that compares to
The beating of a heart who knows joy
And gives back with a smile and sincerity
That love is the answer to free us all
From fear
