Anacreontic verse is an Ancient Greek lyrical form, consisting of 20- to 30-line poems with three to five syllables per line.
Syrupy dewdrops,
slowly trickle
down the sides of
a yellow tulip.
And a red blush
tints the bloom,
as though kissed
by the sun's first rays.
Its gilded light pools
like liquid gold,
as translucent cells
absorb color.
And waxen petals
morph, into a
spectacular
unique flower.
While a sky of blue
hangs in contrast,
for this masterpiece
of living art.
