Little Miss Trouble got in a muddle
Went head first into a muddy puddle
It gave her a fright
And it serves her right
Cos she was always looking for trouble...

Went home in tears to daddy and mommy
And bawled its always happening to me
Dad said " it's the price"
So here's some advice
"Try and be nice in twenty twenty three" ...

Daddy said "your character you must tweak"
Gave it her best shot and lasted a week
Found it all too strange
She just couldn't change
Cos she'll always have an unfriendly streak...

This makes me think of a poem my grandpa used to tell me. "Once there was a little girl who had a curl right down the middle of her forehead, when she was good, she was very very good, but when she was bad she was horrid" Miss Trouble needs a few more tweeks. Naughty, naughty, no supper for you, "Little Miss Trouble" This one was a cutie and gave me a big chuckle.

Sad one isn't it. And some people have personality flaws which they are born with because they are inherited. It is parent's role to try to bring out the best in a child and discourage their bad personality traits. Most parents aren't successful though. Thanks for sharing this one with us and for dropping by my page. Sara K

Hello Tom, Yes it is the parents that spoil the children. Then they wonder why the children are like that. Right? Enjoy your day my friend. /Darlene/

Thank you Darlene, I blame the parents for spoiling them at a young age, the child doesn't know the difference. Hope you're keeping well. Tom

How sad for the parents, but a wonderful poem my friend Tom. I have been so involved with my Book for the last few weeks and Amazon/Kindl and i have neglected my good friends on soup. Hope you are all well - my grand-daughter is three months old and a little beauty! Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Much enjoyed this witty romp, Tom, exposing the difficulties of changing for one's own betterment, from old ways to good is never easily acceptable. Also, thank you for posting your concerns on my blog, Aloha, William

Thank you very much William, thankfully many little 'horrors' turn out to be nice with parental guidance. I'm glad that as bad as it was it wasn't devastating like what we saw happen in Turkey and Syria. I'm glad that you and your family are okay. Tom

Thank you very much Susan, some little kids can be right horrors and you can see the look of embarrassment on their parents faces, thankfully most of them grow out of it and become sweet little children. Hoor you are keeping well. Tom

I know a young man who was little Mr Trouble when small, he would do what he was told not to for fun. He told me that when told not to go to the area where there was a spider, he was naughty and did it anyway for spite, and the spider jumped on him! Another time he was fighting with his mom who wanted him to give her the dangerous fruit picker tool because he was swinging it around, and he got stung by a wasp! Little Mr Trouble grew up to be a wise young man, and he fears natural consequences <3

Poor little Miss Trouble. At that age I have a feeling that I was often in trouble, too :) I don't think I was naughty, but probably not all grownups understood me lol. ~ Thank you for an enjoyable offering, Tom. Best regards // paul

Hello Tom. Poor Miss Little Trouble will never learn will she. (smile) I found this entry two folded. It has humor and flair but I also see the truth and reality of it through life. You are very creative here with both sides. Thank you for sharing your talent with us all. May this day find you well and MIss Little Trouble quiet and out of harm. (another smile) Blessings always.

You are a master of storytelling, Tom: Sorry I have been absent….actually a good thing as we have been enjoying our first vacation in 5 years. Zoning out at Siesta Key. I wonder if Jenna could mix a Key Lime Colada. The pub would go wild. LOL Hugs, SuZ

Tom, I've just read your poem and really enjoyed it. I'd love to know who this mystery troublemaker is..or perhaps it's best left. It adds to the intrigue and mystery. Terry is the DVD you mentioned on sale anywhere? Just asking for a friend's next door neighbour who I don't know and have never met before. Cheers - Gary

Lol, just an observation Gary any similarity to persons alive or dead is purely coincidental. Now about that Dvd. Tom

Take aim…. FIRE! Me thinks young Thomas has his crosshairs centred squarely on A.N. Other. Or is this merely a follow up to “Little Miss Bound And Whipped”… oh sorry, that was a DVD!
