Your grankids are very lucky. It is so true that our loved ones grow up right before our eyes. Cherish the moments day to day and may God bless you.

a great poem, it is why we have blessings, I have three daughters and I know that they are gift from Our Father' This poem I liked because I can relate to it, and as poets when we connect with our works with our colleagues in the art we accomplish something. God bless and deep on soing your thing you are very good.

I'm so glad Erika had a happy birthday, James. Thanks for letting me know and for your comment on the raccoon poem. You can't blame Shep for what he did to the baby raccoon. It's just the nature of animals. Have a wonderful weekend! Best wishes, Carolyn

Wonderful dedication, dear James. Erika is so fortunate to have a wonderful papa like you. I had 2 very special Grandfathers, whom I have written of here on poetry soup. Great mentors to me as I am sure you are to Erika. The Love of a Gentleman was one poem and the other was, Frosted Panes. My best wishes go out to you and Erika for a very Happy Birthday celebrations. Lainie
