Thank you Paul. I originally planned a poem based on The Lady Chapel at Liverpool Anglican Cathedral Ann and I were visiting last year. The idea though felt a little flat; it was to be a straightforward description of that small but beautiful chapel in the cathedral's basement. Rather than stick with that, I started thinking about the atmosphere of the place and how I could put that into words instead - hence this poem. :) Cheers - Gary

Thanks Sam for your lovely words. I always try and keep the poems as simple as I can but the simpler and shorter they are, the harder I find they are to write. Go figure! :) I've actually just posted a blog about having difficulty finding my muse at the moment so am taking a time-out from writing at PS. Hopefully it wont be for long.
