Listen
Listen, you are being shaped by God.
It is not easy--but it will not leave:
This push, from inside you.
The crickets in the darkness of the cave.
The sand kicked up across the sun.
That cold beer even,
The stillness of metal.
So listen to the beat of the hearts of men and
Listen to the roll and crash of waves and
Listen, when spaceless,
For the sound beyond the unhinged door.
