Lingering Memories

The thoughts of her still linger through the chambers of my heart like soft notes of a singer; thoughts of love she does impart. Her whispers ever echo through the canyons of my mind; while begging me to let go, and forever love to find. The kisses that she gave me, and her tender gentle touch; her passions given freely, and the love she gave was much. The time we spent together filled with ardent energy will live with me forever, such a precious memory. September 28, 2018

Your poem takes me back to the late 60's. Memories that linger like a soft transparent veil. Congratulations on your top win John. This is lovely! : )

John, your memories, as shadowed in your poem, parallel my own. God gave me a companion for 20 years. People still refer to her as the 'lady with the beautiful smile'. That smile, in conjunction with all her other attributes, certainly linger with me and will be a part of my life forever. I appreciate how you put it all into perspective in this fabulous poem. Congratulations on your well deserved win, my friend.

This FEELS as though written from a most sincere and personal place in your heart. The rhyme and flow are not to be denied as talent delivering, and the feel not to be denied it's heart-tender, bittersweet appeal. Beautiful. Poetry hugs ... CayCay

These thoughts do come from a personal place in my heart; I sometimes reminisce about past friendships and relationships. They are fond memories indeed, but I would not change anything in my life either. Thank you for your thoughts, CayCay. All the best. John
