Lingering Laughter At Daybreak

the amber translucence of daybreak weaves through the window curtain like lustrous satin that drapes and falls on the ruffled folds on the bed, as I let your whisper sink so slowly in.. blankly I stare at the blank ceiling as the darkest, dying shadows of this November night cowardly creep and cringe away into the gloomiest nooks, fleeing from the touch of light, while the lilt of your muffled laughter lingers on even as you left, ..and long, long after.
