Like my motherland

At a strange land
Alight alone,
puzzled and perplexed
tried to step gingerly,
Wheedle to settle
But this alluring land,
Soon shunned all my myths
Felt cozy and snug in her lap
Tender and gentle
Cuddling, doting whatever I need, give every moment as it is mine.
Has beauty beyond words
Blessing falls from heaven, like snow, white and bright
Apples, Berries, and plums everywhere,
Giving so much without asking much,
Rain, snow, and summer has its grace
More colors than a rainbow clasp
Soothing moonlight and sunshine every day and night
Flow like wind and fly like a bird,
Felt this freedom like my motherland
Found a mother away from my land
Gives me cool and calm shade
People call it lovely Czech.
