Like an Autumn Leaf

Unleashed by a breeze in autumn, I could f l o a t. What was magical then has become a melancholy note. I drift through mist; Farewell to bliss. Soon winter will embrace me, but I know seduction comes less easily by snow.

Congratulations, Andrea! I like the smooth and easy feel of this piece. And I like how it lures the reader into a pensive mood and then embraces them. ...Fran

There is a beauty found in autumn leaves that inspires artists. A floating leaf in a stream can capture one's imagination. Nicely done.

Dear Andrea, what seems at first like elations quickly turns to pensive, mournful realization. I loved every line of this bittersweet rhyme; great imagery and emotion. A fav! Warmest wishes, my poet friend.. ~Susan
