Light Rather Night
Once more if not too much
Graced me beyond darkness you know
Simply a fade light to touch
For eternal nights only you can show
Need you a light you’ve never seen?
Have I the dark unnoticed?
Have you a blackness so clean?
With never the shielding light as promised?
With light you can only see
With the darkness, you can always be
Have I a light to set me free?
Yet with darkness... might just be me
Neither here nor there I dwell
With the balance of day and night
Either here or there I’m well
Yet have I not a sight for insight?
Perhaps too much of light to touch
To be gracing with darkness you know
Once more if not too much
An eternal night will you not show?
