Light In July

Sun beaming down upon the land Echoes of a thousand dawns reach out to me I see children playing in the grass And have sent them my love I see workers building our city I see students from foreign lands Working hard to make it here in the USA THEN - a light appears in the July night Cuts into the soul of this city dweller and thousands of his fellow city dwellers People looking for love in the urban night find each other Wrap you arms around me, Gotham, So I can taste joy in this metropolis we call home

I enjoyed this shadow play. Gotham can use a bit of light.
