Light

Still is the night Quiet genteel light Shin down on me Don’t diminish and abandon me. I don’t wish to be alone Darkness please leave me be I do not want nor do I need you. But light, sweet white light Warm my cold with your glow Without you I feel alone. Oh dear light I can see you growing dim Please stay dear light I need you with me But no you can’t You must leave like everyone else And I alone In still and quiet Darkness and dread.
