Life's Ups and Downs - and Ups

I went to a museum Saturday enjoying art with daughter, friend, and wife. It was our daughter's 30th birthday- a lovely way to celebrate her life! Then clouds descended on our afternoon. Discovering, returning to my car some driver turned the corner far too soon and mashed my fender, leaving a black scar. But, lest the hit-and-run scar irritate, two witnesses displaying kindness, wrote the color, model, make, and license plate, and left it on my windshield as a note. Discouraged by one driver's thoughtlessness Encouraged by two witnesses' largesse. written 3 Apr 2023

Great title, the poem communicated the up / down / then up well. It's sometimes amazing how our attitude draws like experiences to us. Being positive allows others to respond positively to us. It would be nice if I could always be patient and keep my attitude up instead of letting what appears to be negative in influence me. Thanks for sharing through your poetry, John. wow, I can't believe they were so good as to do that for you!! Please soupmail me what eventually happened. I got swiped by a truck a few weeks ago, and thank goodness, the guy pulled ahead to give me his info. We did not use insurance. His company just paid for it so they wouldn't have to get their rates raised!

These hit and run cases are very sad John and even worse if its a man or woman on a bicycle and dies or a child chasing after an umbrella in the rain, which i saw happening in front of me. But tHe driver stopped picked up the child and his mother to take them to the nearest hospital.
