Life's Two Way Street
LIFE'S TWO WAY STREET
Lives are often wasted meeting all the wrong folk
Sometimes all too often; it is past a flaming joke
Salvation only comes with meeting someone just like you
Who doesn't do on to others as on to you they would do
But remember wasn’t there a time you were just like that
So maybe it is just life’s way of getting its own way back
Take all that you have stolen and, enjoy it while you can
The lesson will go on either way; after all, it is God’s only plan
Never moan about the players in your life, you’re a player too
Keep doing on to others, and then gripe when they do the same onto you
So quit what I have done to deserve this, you only have yourself to blame
They all saw you coming even before you ever came
And doing on to you as once you did onto them
It is from here that all your real problems stem
Life isn’t cruel to you just because it can
It is teaching you a lesson so try to understand
Your sin was committed long before you ever came again upon this earth
But your sin will continue to be repeated to the value of the sinned worth
So you may feel the utter pain one felt when you treated them like a game
Made them feel hurt, lost and worthless, undignified and left with shame
So if you are ever wondering why this continued hurt never ends for you
It is because the one you hurt never had the chance to ever forgive you
You blew them so far apart from this world, you can never meet again
Wishing only that you understood now, they were only being a friend
Your guilt is written on your face, your innocence you can only fend
And your sin on this earth is repeated with no hope for it to amend
