Life's Goodbyes

I survived each and every goodbye, that life has brought to me. Some a relief, some I could only cry. Through the tears, I couldn't see. I have made decisions to walk away. Feeling there was no other choice. Deciding whether to go or stay, I struggled to find my voice. There are those that have said goodbye, causing the pain in my heart. I never learned the reason why, they had to tear my life apart. Goodbye can mean many things. It can be casual or very intense. Never knowing what emotion it brings. I tried to hold on to some common sense. Goodbye brings something to an end. No matter who closes the door. It can be the loss of love or a friend. Whatever it was, it is no more.
