Life's Bright Glow
For life's bright glow, I spend each day with grace
Braced up by God, midst hope, to win this race
Wrought care’s breadth that seeks, helps and props the lame
I'm geared through faith’s strength to fight doubts' false claim.
Led with truth, my mind hoists each day as grand
Blest to breathe in sweet peace, fresh strength, bliss’ brand
Freed from vain thoughts and woes of bad news’ voice
I serve the Lord, prop the weak; firm soul poise.
For all days’ fruits, my hands yield to Christ’s might
Borne hard work with sweat’s gold price, not scam’s blight
Stressed, yet gripped with joy to tread through toil crest
Cared when knocked down; pressed for good night’s full rest.
As I choose now for God’s name to be known
All my best works well to make His love shown.
*Joshua 24:15 … Choose you this day whom ye will serve; … but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
