Life with Grandchildren
Though the house be untidy, let the grandchildren come.
They will give you the energy you need to get things done.

every stinking time, let the stinkers’ feet
be found at your door, footprints adored
on sparkling floors - they shine
let bubbles decorate the air
kid’s smiles - they pop
every stinking time, answer their call
“Grandma…Grandma…”
they’ll exhaust your moniker
but enlarge your heart
they’re a gas, a godsend, a blast
