Defeated with frustration and despair
There you are plunging into failure’s pit
Lamenting, “Oh, for me, no one does care…”
From life of thorns, let me have my exit!
Friends rebuke you in your pity party
With counsel to free you from ignorance
Saying, “Hate’s engulfing your sanity,”
See the roses blooming in abundance.”
Learn rose-thorns' lessons well, though sometimes hard;
That’s the start of your winning endeavor
Just trust the Lord* Who can hoist you upward
Midst thorns testing your conquering fervor.
Life indeed is not a bed of roses
Yet faith in God softens thorn-filled crosses.
