Life In Review
I scan each age and pause with idle care-
reflecting on a single year or two
in my anthology of life: some fair-
most good- few, dark with pessimistic doubt-
confusing my emotions- here a smile-
and there a tear to turn me inside out.
But- only analyzing from the start-
observing well the sequence, do I see
life's theme composed of dramas in my heart.
And only on reflection of the whole-
since isolated fragments leave me blind-
I do perceive my thesis and life goal.
