In life, there are moments Moments when you must trust Moments when you still feel like dust Moments when you’re lost in disgust In life, there are days Days when you feel like crying Sometimes it’s the hearts defying Even feels like you’re lost – sighing In life, there are times Times when your heart can’t decide Times when the valley is wide Times when the blood is applied In life, there are joys Joys that come from seeing Him Joys that fill your cup to the brim Joys that reveal life’s best hymn In life, there are hopes Hope that time will give you grace Hope that comes from seeing love’s face Hope that comes from feeling His embrace In life, there are forgiven hearts Forgiven for the sin that smarts Forgiven for the kindness that departs Forgiven by the love Jesus Himself imparts In life, there are songs Songs of love, laughter and light Songs that fade beneath shadows at night Songs that amaze me with their insight In life, there is One One who is God’s Son One who has only just begun To show the world what love has done! In life, in death, in everlasting There is a hope that’s forecasting Love that we should all be broadcasting Because this love is forever – it’s outlasting So whatever comes, this side of paradise We will know love that paid the price Offering up the greatest sacrifice God’s gift of grace will always suffice
