I gave her this locket So that she locks in time, So that I stay with her a little longer Every time that I'm by her She told me that when she's with me time moves so fast And she didn't want me to hurry That I would better finish late than fast Cause I always got the strength to carry on She told me she needed time to be by her side So that she's never late anymore For she'd hate to have to hide As she grows more and more So that when it's the right time She'll feel it all break from in And have to race with time Cause it would be time to get out, not stay in I gave her this locket And she chose to lock it So that she never has to see the time When I'll be gone The PO£T
