Letting Go

"Letting Go!"

Behind that garden rail;
Where worms, squirm and roam,
They dig into every worst part of my day.
I feel them crawling, making my hide their home.
They feast on my will, and my dead walking soul.

Slowly I am fading away into a cloud of nothing.
I find myself reminiscing the moment I meet you.
With scars and guilt,
I can’t let go!

I’m cold and miserable inside.
Different emotions, I no longer hide.
I can’t seem to heal the deep cut from within.
Echoes are twisting moods that have no meaning.
I sit, with a jar full of tears, holding on tight.
Afraid of letting go!

The hollow walls slay in every way.
The abyss of a waterfall, resides in my heart
This throbbing starvation, repeats the taste it longs for,
I have no control.
I can’t feed without you by my side.
I won't let go!

My soul sinks into this poem.Once again I see myself reflected endless poetry.I see the shadow of my former self I feel the emotion the pain the suffering and anguish. My heart bleeds for the sadness in your soul.It is my hope that you see the truth. That you search for the truth.Because the truth will take that sadness take the suffering in the anguish. The truth will heal your soul. And you will never have to feel that loneliness again.Expressing your soul is difficult.I admire your courageousness

As I was reading this poem, I could identify with its deep emotional struggles. A wonderful poem that transforms the intangible into tangible.

A very meaningful poem! Letting go is very hard to those who truly loved... But I know that time heals the pain inside and refreshes the wonderful memories together. Thank you, for sharing, Linda. You are awesome and a brilliant poet.

Very, very nice. And it 'hits too close to home' (the way I understood it).

I love all of this poem, but the line "a jar full of tears" creates an image that is unforgettable. A brilliant work of art, that's what this poem is. Another 7, of course.

There is much pain in your words. There are always going to be crossroads for us to chose and sometimes that path is not an easy choice. Thinking of you from afar Linda :)
