Let's put a smile on this tired face, which has long forgotten what it means to be alive and serene
Let's put a smile on this tired face, which has long forgotten what it means to be alive and serene
Let's put a smile on this tired face, which has long forgotten what it means to be alive and serene,
It won't be the first, nor the last, just another borrowed mask in a world that worships illusions,
This world feeds on your sorrow, like vultures circling above a wounded heart,
And when you dare to smile, even for a moment, they look at you as if you've stolen sacred light.
So we learn, don't we? To smile without feeling, to laugh without warmth,
To exist without truly being present, to lose ourselves in roles that don't belong to us and don't define us,
And somewhere along the way, the face forgets how to be real, yet remembers perfectly how to pretend,
A dance of changing masks, each carrying a silent story of unspoken desires.
We learn to turn sadness into silence, to hide vulnerability beneath layers of indifference,
And yet, in the depths of the heart, a voice whispers the truth hidden beneath false smiles,
For beneath every mask, beneath every forced smile, there exists a longing for freedom and authenticity,
A desire to break invisible chains and to truly live, beyond the cold masks of the world.
But until then, we continue to play this game of appearances, to wear smiles like shields,
And to hope that one day, when the world grows tired of watching us, we will find ourselves again,
To discover our true faces, to embrace our imperfections, and to finally be real,
In a world that has forgotten what it means to truly live, to love sincerely, and to be authentic.
