Let us start with each other today
Can we try to get along?
Accept that we are equal on our way
Greet each other with respectful song
Refuse to let the hatred into our hearts
Refuse to be part of division instilled
I know we can do this, it is a start
Just as each one of us has free will
We have been warned by the decline
We have been wounded from it all
We have been given all the signs
Written on blood stained streets and walls
When the birds sing do you hear?
When the sky fills with color do you see?
This beautiful creation far and near
The gifts of granted days given to eternity
We are empowered by love, waiting to be felt
The willingness to have hope, to know we tried
After fallen in the pain on our knees knelt
Let’s start with each other, open eyes once cried
