Let There Be Inspiration

He can fly with his wings, but the eagle soars with the wind. It's the water and wind that combine to float my boat, and without that connection, 'That's all she wrote'* Without fuel in the tank, the vehicle will not go. The river finds a path or builds her own in order to flow. Though she may be dry, she still has a bank and a bed, But without water to flow, the river is good as dead. The clearest pathway to being exceptional is becoming inspirational. Like a river without water is my writing when there is no inspiration. If words and lines are dead on arrival, perhaps inspiration is the solution. I cannot force it; it's nearly impossible to fix it; so I simply let it lay. Like clay waiting to be pottery by the potter, I put it aside for another day. Sometimes, the vision or the mold is just a word or a line, but it must wait. The morning cannot be rushed and will arrive in its time and not a minute late. So it is not a crime if my lines must wait until God or human or entity inspires me. We are told that a silversmith's work is done when the reflection of his face he can see. I was once amused when I discovered a piece of poetry that took ten years to finish. Unless time had revealed its ending, something of beauty would have been diminished. Rome was not built in a day, and time heals all wounds, they say. Even God took six days to create the heavens and the earth. He then rested, seeing the beauty and evaluating its incomparable worth. Shall I not do likewise and do no less to achieve my very best? Shall I not give time for inspiration to unveil my best lines? 100320PSCtest, When There Is No Inspiration, Silent One. 3P *An American expression
