Let The Music Begin

On a podium of serenity and gracefully raised, Black and white dressed she holds every gaze, A banquet of musicians displayed for a queen, Polite applause echoing amidst strangers unseen. Gentle a tap of the antiquated baton supreme, Heads bowed in reference a musicians dream, The lowering of lights the hush of the lips, The maestro animated supremely equipped, As if plucked from the soul the sonate begins, A lament without voice a broken heart on a chin , Ebony and ivory, soothing memories once known, Defining passion in music, dressed ladies in gowns, The rapturous applause touched in echoes of waves, A symphony raised to it's feet, in honour and praise .

so many descriptive lines and wonderful imagery. I could imagine the majesty of the 'animated' maestro doing what he does so well. I especially liked these lines:A lament without voice a broken heart on a chin , Ebony and ivory, soothing memories once known, A captivating poem for sure! Have a great day, my Irish poet friend, from your poetess friend in Texas!
