Let me breathe that sea air that once waltzed through your hair. Let me view that sunrise you once graced with your eyes. Let me taste that baguette from the morn we first met. How I've replayed that dawn since they told me you're gone.

Very nice write, my friend - melancholy and romantic ... there is no sadness that dances quite as spirited as that of a lost love. Congrats and blessings, John! :o)

Yes, you noticed a tinge of sadness in this one - I'm coloring outside my usual lines! It's a fictional sadness though, I'm glad to report. Peace and grace, John

The poignant beauty of your poem waltzes with the emotions stirred in my heart, John. Such deep, romantic and heartfelt reverie is delicately and exquisitely expressed with tender melancholy. Yet again, your final line sears the emotional sweet spot. What a special talent you possess, my friend. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan
