Let Me Be Your Rain
Corners of your parchment heart curl
a world you once knew unfurls
as the love fades away
Words written so sensual and smooth
dried as petals of a once blooming rose
wilting ever slowly as the seasons close
Blank eyes stare off into a darkened sky
final chapters begin to come apart
tainted pages lost from the very start
O let me be your rain
to be there to comfort you
to wash away the pain
O let me be your rain
to clear up all the grey
giving you a sunny day
