Leave a Flower
Please leave a flower on top of my grave
Touch your pain gently with the days we spent
and know that I loved the journey you gave,
to my joyful heart wherever we went
My eyes saw only you until they closed
Feeling death's cold palm upon my face
You gave me golden memories, some composed
of a smile I loved my fingers would trace
Leave a flower with love from your heart
Tenderly lay it under cathedral sky
Where my spirit will soar when you turn...depart
Please never seek reasons, never ask why
Know whenever you pluck a flower in bloom,
you will remember me from its sweet scent
Breathe in the fragrance of our love's perfume
A gift to you love, for my heart well spent
