Laughter
They say laughter is the best medicine
Yet… I have forgotten how to laugh
With so much of life destine to learn
I find… so much else isn’t to be asked
Have I really forgotten?
When heard was laughter so pure
Have we too much reason?
For laughter be heard to endure?
And I hear myself this day
When I laugh I remember
How did laughter become this way?
For memory to serve the better
Is there the fake side of me?
When a joke is for a need to laugh at
And to remember, to hear and see
Did I remember to be truly glad?
Forgetting away when laughter is pure
I have remembered to laugh
When its life a forever given to implore
So much more I need no more ask
